Val Garland is a renowned makeup artist and judge on Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star since 2019. With over three decades of experience, she has worked with icons like Kate Moss and Lady Gaga, collaborating with fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood. Her earliest memories of jewellery are tied to the gold and iconography of Catholicism. These formative experiences later evolved into more personal expressions of style. Her bold, transformative approach continues to redefine beauty and design across industries
The two stalwarts have come together and unveiled a new, limited-edition collection that is as bold and unconventional as its creators. Featuring sixteen pieces, each designed in collaboration between Val and the VICKISARGE team, the collection celebrates personal expression, creative rebellion, and the transformative power of adornment, with Val drawing inspiration from punk and the early ’80s, a period that shaped her artistic sensibilities.

Being long time collaborators, they have worked together on several projects, including specific ones with Lady Gaga and Alexander McQueen. Whilst they were both working with the latter, Val grew more familiar with the brand’s work, later forming a personal relationship with Vicki, the original founder. When curating her looks for Glow Up, VICKISARGE was her first choice. Their shared love for disruptive design finds full expression in this exclusive release. The collection unfolds in three chapters. The first is a celebration of Val’s artistry, expressed throughpieces in vivid shades of yellow and gold, adorned with hand charms that reference her identity as acreator. Hand-tinted crystals and 23k gold plating give thiscollection a rich, expressive warmth. The second part of the collection takes a playful turn, evoking illusion, and paradox. Charms like miniature hand mirrors and dolls conceal hand-enamelled details on their reverse, unveiling subtle surprises. These pieces blend nostalgia with wit, inviting the wearer to explore dichotomy.

The final chapter of the collection steps fully into the VICKISARGE universe, dazzling and uncompromising. Echoing both an art deco and punk edge, this is the most sparkling section of the collection, with pieces constructed from crystal chains, jagged clusters, and industrial findings, all finished in 23k gold andsterlingsilver plating. This jewellery is designed to stand out and celebrate individuality with confidence.“If it is shiny and sparkly, it makes me feel good. I always want to wear things that make me feel good,” says Val.Speaking about the intention behind the collection, she adds, “I want people to feel like individuals when they wear these pieces. Happy and inspired.”
VICKISARGE Creative Director, Louis Circe comments:“Celebrating a longstanding relationship with Val and this beautiful collaborative collection feels like the perfect way to illustrate Vicki’s creative vision, and the brand’s quintessential style and heritage.”
