Minos Palace’s Revamped Dining Experiences

Embrace the moment, taste the lovely flavours of the Mediterranean, and let inspiration flow this summer at Minos Palace Hotel & Suites as it opens its doors to new dining concepts.  The adults-only hotel situated in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, has introduced a revived dining concept with wellbeing at its core, featuring two restaurants and two bars, with new interiors and menus inspired by ancient Greece.  Guests at Minos Palace can indulge in a variety of local Cretan and Mediterranean dishes with a genuine farm-to-table experience. The menus boast fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients such as olive oil from Rethymnon, daily delivered fresh fish, organic vegetables from Lerapetra, honey from the nearby village of Prina, and many more.

It’s dining experiences include MOM, the main restaurant which is a tribute to the timeless traditions of Mediterranean cuisine and the nutrition for longevity.  The menus offer fresh, seasonal, and restorative ingredients that are locally sourced.  Using herbs from the hotel’s very own gardens, chefs and sommeliers orchestrate a symphony of local dishes and wines, with food rich in nutrients that have been scientifically proven to benefit health. NAMA Pool Bar on the other hand offers a tranquil ambience and invigorating views of the infinity pool and Mirabello Bay beyond it. Expect carefully crafted cocktails, mocktails and bites made with fresh and refreshing ingredients

AMAR Beach Restaurant invites guests to be inspired by nature and embrace the present moment, served in a secluded beachside setting of intimate charm. With a focus on Mediterranean cuisine, each dish celebrates the rich flavours of the region with locally sourced ingredients and a focus on sharing.  Lastly, there is MOSA Beach Bar with views of the expansive sea, sandy beach and secluded coves nestled along the coastline. The intimate setting and laid-back atmosphere welcomes guests to discover their inner muse while sampling a selection of nibbles, artisan cocktails and local wines.

Other authentic food and drink experiences at Minos Palace include the option for private dining where guests can indulge in five different menus from an idyllic setting at the private beach or in the herbal garden; private wine tours at one of Crete’s prestigious wineries with tailor-made wine tastings and food pairings; and a chance to visit the traditional village of Kritsa, to meet with Women in Action, a female-led cooperative, who maintain traditional culinary creations where guests can learn how to make traditional Cretan pastries, with recipes passed on down the generations.
