Business or Staycation? Choice is Your’s at Home Grown

Home Grown is the much-loved Home House’s twin sister!! Founded in 2019, it is a a meeting ground for business professionals where brands get launched at exclusive events, entrepreneurs share and exchange ideas and yet the usual merriment of a private member’s clubs ensues all around these very exciting happenings.  We at Kensington and Chelsea Review decided to take a closer look at this rather interesting endeavour which includes a 5-star hotel for its mebers and patrons and guests alike.  Staycation perhaps whilst hobnobbing with some business gurus and honchos?  It’s all possible at Home Grown!

As I was about to check in to the hotel at Home Grown, a well-dressed and generously beaming gentleman walked in with his smart luggage daintily rolling beside him.  He waved to the friendly woman at reception and apprised her of his return from a business trip to India,   It seemed that all had gone well and here he has, back and essentially returning to his beloved club as the first destination back in England – his go-to community in London. This was an absolutely wonderful introduction to the power of Home Grown’s core idea. So what does Home Grown offer do these dynamic and driven people in terms of stay and board? Plenty it seems.  In fact, you can look forward to a luxurious stay at Home Grown without having to do any business at all.  It is a 5-star establishment in the heart of Marylebone location with some wonderful offerings.

After checking in, I was whisked away to witness the various wonders on offer at the club.  There is the very inviting Unicorn Bar on the first floor with some of the choicest tipples and gorgeous cocktails.  The idea behind the club registered within the next thirty minutes as I was enraptured and excited by the invigorating hum of busyness that wafted across the cosy space members and visitors savoured their evening tipples.  Jessica also introduced us to a couple of entrepreneurs who were demonstrating their business finesse and innovation to fellow members in one of the majestic meeting rooms.  The club does mean business and it shows in these special spaces created for effect

The restaurant is run by the talented James Allan and his specially curated Winter menu includes seasonal stalwarts like Roast Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings and a Nut roast with braised cabbage, roast sprouts, chestnuts and vegan jus.  Fillet of beef with rosti potato and seared foie gras, caramelised shallot, and Madeira jus is another favourite.

Aptly and most amusingly, rooms are classified as Equity, Angel and Venture in terms of increasing area and bed varieties.  Rainforest showers are standard in all rooms.  Two Mews Rooms complete the offerings at the top end to afford additional comfort and luxury whilst guests are also encouraged to avail of the 23 suites and bedrooms at the aforementioned sister club, Home House.

Home Grown is an exciting venture which aims to offer its members a chance to share, propagate and expound business ideas and innovations to an assortment of fellow business minds in a positive, empathetic and professional environment.  It seems to fully understands the needs and wants of founders, entrepreneurs and innovators and therefore houses the amenities, benefits and offerings to bring together and facilitate the open exchange of ideas amongst  like-minded businessmen – all wonderfully wrapped together with a silken lace of luxury and top service that binds it to its sister club Home House.

Cedric, the classy crocodile is here to welcome guests just like at Home House and even if business is not your ultimate goal at Home Grown, the hotel is a brilliant destination in Central London for a rejuvenating staycation.
