Smart Eco Hotel in Euston (and Camden Town)

Right around the corner from Euston station, The Wesley stands tall as a reliable, highly-rated eco-friendly hotel known for its friendly staff and purpose-perfect modern rooms.  Close to Camden and Regent’s Park, the hotel is also just a walk away from Oxford Circus and arts and culture enthusiasts will also benefit from its proximity to world-class institutions such as British Museum, The Wellcome Collection, The Wallace Collection, Sir John Soane’s Museum and the rather interesting Vagina Museum. Most importantly, the hotel offers, in my humble opinion, the best value for money for a centrally located four-star hotel which has just recently picked up an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating — the global benchmark for sustainable buildings — for the way it’s blended sustainability into a historic hotel setting.  This has further strengthened its ethical credentials.

Rooms at the Wesley Euston offer clean, ample bathrooms with rainfall showers.  They are also loaded with amenities such as coffee makers, tea kettles and safes.  Beds are comfortable and pillows abound whilst there is enough space to lounge and manoeuvre about.  There is a 24hour gym and the wonderfully friendly Foundry restaurant for breakfast and other meals.

The hotel is perfect for a staycation or a day trip considering its prime location. One might like to start the day by visiting Primrose Hill and enjoy its numerous delicatessens, chic eateries, and boutique fashion stores.  Camden Town is always an option for vintage shopping, pub-hopping and for its variety of food and drink options.  Another idea is having a walk along Regents Canal to Little Venice or cultural trip to the aforementioned museums in the vicinity.

Much like the Euston location, the Wesley also have a sister property which is a ten-minute walk away in Camden Town.  It is a beautiful new boutique hotel housed in a landmark chapel dating back to 1824.  It’s been given the Wesley eco-treatment and the interiors have been totally refurbished using sustainably sourced materials thus transforming it into a very chic hotel.

In regards to their ethical principles, James Barr, General Manager at The Wesley recently said: “We are incredibly proud to add this award to our growing eco-portfolio as sustainability has always been at the heart of our mission. This achievement recognises the dedication of our entire team to making a real difference in the hospitality industry contributing to a greener future. We see this not just as a milestone, but as a motivator to continue setting new standards for sustainable travel in London.”

The Wesley in Euston, much like its sister hotel in Camden Town, benefits from its superb location and no-nonsense-frills approach and delivers a cracking stay in the heart of the city.  It is value for money done very well.
