Cornilleau at Chelsea Flower Show

At Chelsea Flower Show this week, Cornilleau – Europe’s leading outdoor games table brand – unveiled a one-of-a-kind collaboration with UK illustrator and pattern designer Clare Therese Gray, featuring a bespoke floral design across the brand’s new Origin Move Table Tennis Table.

Created exclusively for Cornilleau’s Chelsea Flower Show showcase, the design has been drawing crowds to the Cornilleau stand.  Attendees have been playing friendly matches on the beautifully illustrated table which effectively blurs the line between games, furniture and art.  The bespoke ping-pong table reframes outdoor play as functional art with the one-of-one piece marking the brand’s 80th anniversary and bringing Clare’s expressive visual language into dialogue with Cornilleau’s precision-engineered outdoor furniture, transforming one of the brand’s signature tables into a considered design object.

Clare’s practice is rooted in natural landscapes, and her work is recognised for its intricate botanical motifs, organic forms and layered narrative detail. For this bespoke piece, Clare drew inspiration from the flower fields of Northern France, where Cornilleau is based, translating the natural beauty of these landscapes across the table’s surface in a composition that feels both expressive and refined. The result is a piece that sits effortlessly within a contemporary garden, a luxury terrace, or any design-led outdoor setting.

The collaboration has made its public debut this week at Chelsea Flower Show, where visitors can see the piece alongside a curated selection of Cornilleau’s outdoor and multi-functional games tables. “Chelsea Flower Show is a natural setting for Cornilleau, where outdoor design, craftsmanship and creativity come together,” saysDarren Mason, UK Managing Director at Cornilleau. “Collaborating with Clare Therese Gray has allowed us to reinterpret one of our tables as a true design piece. Her storytelling approach and connection to nature align perfectly with our belief that outdoor games should be both functional and beautiful, seamlessly integrating into contemporary outdoor spaces.”
