HEAVEN AND EARTH: Galvin at Windows Truffle-Based Menu Combines Both

Gazing out over iconic views of London from the 28th floor of Park Lane’s London Hilton, Galvin at Windows opened in 2006. Its floor to ceiling windows, and the attention that London’s most beloved landmarks demand, do battle with each plate that’s set before you, with seasonally inspired menus based around seasonal British cuisine created by Head Chef Marc Hardiman and Chef Patron Chris and Jeff Galvin.

With autumn now lighting our days with its amber hues, and extending its dark tendrils earlier into our evenings, it’s the ideal time for exquisitely crafted comfort food.

Comfort food seems to downplay the opulence Head Chef Marc Hardiman’s five-course Barolo and Truffle tasting menu, however. Make no mistake: as earthy as these flavours are, they are also inimitably opulent and masterfully crafted, each pairing featuring powerhouse wines from the esteemed Pio Cesare Vineyard.

Thanks both to its glass-clad surrounds and the glorious summer that London enjoyed, Galvin at Windows saw diners basking in sun-soaked panoramas and now welcomes guests to this new and sumptuous dining experience, designed to usher in the warmth and richness of the season. Available for a limited five-week run from Friday October 13th to Saturday November 18th, this menu promises to elevate your autumn dining experience to new heights of indulgence.

Linger over dishes like slow-cooked beef cheek ravioli with 5-year-aged Parmesan cream and white Alba truffle, Pheasant “Farci au Gratin” accompanied by celeriac, blackberry and black truffle, and Scottish Highlands venison Wellington with glazed chestnut, red cabbage ketchup and sauce Périgueux. Additionally, each course is thoughtfully paired with Pio Cesare wines, which recently marked their 140th year of exceptional winemaking. Accompanying and perfectly complementing Chef Hardiman’s culinary creations, diners may expect selections ranging from a rich and deeply flavoured Barolo Ornato 2016 to a Barolo Mosconi 2018.

The Barolo & Truffle menu at Galvin at Windows is priced at £299 per person and is available from Friday 13th October until Saturday 18th November.

The first 70 bookings will receive a complimentary glass of Louis Roederer champagne.
